Lindsay Shields, Director
Lindsay's passion for makeup started when she was younger with her dancing career. Her skill set then led to working in many areas of makeup artistry including print, television, fashion, and bridal. Currently Lindsay works in the Bridal industry and is available for freelance work. With over 10 years of experience as a Makeup Artist, Lindsay saw a void for education in the field of Makeup Artistry. "Opening The Academy of Makeup allows students to learn the craft as well as continue their education long after they establish their career."
Elizabeth Hymas, Head Instructor
Beth's love of makeup began as a little girl having her makeup done for ballet recitals by her mother. Growing up, she applied makeup on her friends and family members every chance she had. While finishing her degree in Art History, Beth realized that she wanted to do something fun and creative with her life. After training at makeup schools and with experienced artists all over the country, her work has been seen in art shows; magazines including SELF, The Veil, and What's Up? Annapolis; and TV commercials for major companies such as IBM and Kaiser Permanente. Beth is so grateful for the opportunity to teach others the art of makeup, and share her passion for making people look and feel beautiful.
